Celebrated contemporary composer Shirish Korde presents Aikya, a brand new evening-length multisensory musical celebration of the feminine and the sacred in ancient Hindu philosophy.
In collaboration with the gifted violinist Priyanka Venkatesh and visual artist Raphaele Shirley, Aikya explores the tensions between the sacred and profane, the spiritual and the erotic, and the ancient and modern as depicted in writings, sculpture and paintings about Indian philosophy and religions.
